Where our data comes from

Every outside source PatternPlus reads: what we take from it, which events it feeds, how we read it, the terms we follow and when it last answered. All of them are free. Past patterns, not financial advice.

Answering means the source's last read worked; partly failing means some of what we read from it did not. A source that fails keeps its last good numbers on the site until it answers again: nothing is filled in.

§ 02 · How we use them

How we use them

as of · methodology

We read only free, public endpoints, at most once a night, inside each provider's rate limits, and keep our own dated copy. Every number on a page says where it came from and when; when a source stops answering, its last good numbers stay with their date and nothing is estimated in its place.

Events are dated when they were known: a day's funding, ETF flows, liquidations or stablecoin printing only count from the day after, so no measured move starts before the news was out. Exchange listings come from the exchanges' own market lists and announcements; unlocks come from vesting contracts we read on-chain, from schedules checked against the projects' own documents, and from supply steps we measure ourselves.

The free API passes on only what we compute ourselves: the unlock schedules other providers publish, and the event days made from their numbers, stay off it. Credit goes where each source asks for it, here and in the footer.

This product uses the FRED® API but is not endorsed or certified by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
