What we count, and what we never do

We count visits so we can see what traders use and fix what they don't. We do it on our own server: no cookies, no IP addresses stored, nothing that follows you to other sites.

What we never do

  • No cookies, and nothing saved in your browser to recognise you.
  • No Google Analytics, no ad pixels, no third-party trackers of any kind.
  • No fingerprinting, no accounts, no selling or sharing of anything.
  • We never store your IP address.

What we count

  • The page you open: its address, without anything after the "?".
  • Where you came from: the site's name only (say, google.com), and the campaign tags in the link if it has them (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign).
  • Rough context: your country (two letters, from Cloudflare), phone, tablet or desktop, your browser family (Chrome, Safari…), a screen-width range (say 1024–1439 px) and your language (say "en").
  • What you do here: what you type in the search box, your calls and results in Beat the pattern, the side, hold and leverage you set in the trade planner, the horizon and timeframe pills you tap, calendar filters and downloads, watchlist stars, how far down a page you scroll, how long a page stays open in front of you (paused when you're idle), clicks to exchanges and partner sites, and script errors (the message, the file and the line, nothing else).

Unique visitors, without tracking you

To count how many different people visit in a day, we mix today's date, your IP address and your browser's user agent with a secret key and keep the first 16 characters of the result: a one-way code that can't be turned back into the address. The IP address itself is never written down. The code changes every day, so nobody can follow you from one day to the next, and once a day is over its codes are turned into a single number and deleted.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends either signal, we count the page view and nothing else: no daily code, no searches, no clicks.

How long we keep it, and who sees it

Single events are deleted after 90 days. Daily totals (views per page, country, device and so on) are kept; they say nothing about any one person. Only the site owner sees the numbers, on a password-protected page. They are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database: Cloudflare hosts this site and handles its requests for us.

Links marked "(partner link)" take you to an exchange or a bot; their own privacy rules apply over there.

Switch counting off

Press the button and this browser stops sending anything at all. It keeps one "off" switch in this browser's storage: no ID, never sent to us. Press it again to switch counting back on.
